Fabienne Cresens is Belg en leeft in Brussel. Ze werd in 1957 geboren in Bukavu, Congo. Fabienne Cresens is een autodidact op het gebied van de fotografie, een kunstvorm die ze al vanaf haar prille jeugd hanteert. Licht uit de duisternis delven daar houdt ze van. Foto’s zijn zoals de snaren van een harp en moeten de ziel aanspreken! Zo tracht ze eindeloos het onzichtbare, het onduidelijke, het kleurloze… een vorm, of een inhoud te geven. De werkelijkheid wordt vanuit een ander standpunt benaderd… een zicht dat de wezenlijkheid kan vervormen in het onwezenlijke!

Fabienne Cresens is Belgian and lives in Brussels. She was born in 1957 in Bukavu, Congo. Fabienne Cresens is self-taught in the field of photography, an art form she has been practising since her early years. Coaxing light from the darkness is what she enjoys doing. Photographs are like the strings of a harp and have to appeal to the soul! 
She endlessly endeavours to give form or content to the invisible, the indistinct, the colourless... Reality is approached from an alternative standpoint... a view that can transform reality into the unreal!
