Deze foto is gemaakt in het Griekse dorpje Kechries, vlak bij de monding van het Kanaal van Korinthe. De foto is tijdens het najaar ook te zien in het FotoMuseum Antwerpen als deel van de tentoonstelling ‘Dolen-Onderweg in Europa’.

This picture was taken in the little Greek village of Kechries, near the mouth of the Corinth Canal. The photograph can also be seen in the autumn in Antwerp’s FotoMuseum, as part of the exhibition, 'Dolen -Onderweg in Europa' [Roaming – Travelling Through Europe]

Michiel Hendryckx (Adinkerke, 1951)
Michiel Hendryckx is een Vlaams persfotograaf en televisiefiguur. Hij is sinds 1978 huisfotograaf bij ‘De Standaard’ en ligt mee aan de basis van de journalistieke beeldvorming in Vlaanderen. In zijn werk staan de mens en de dagdagelijkse verwondering centraal.

He has been house photographer for the daily newspaper De Standaard and helped establish journalistic image forming in Flanders. People and everyday astonishment are the central theme of his work.
